We get it. Yoga can be scary. One of the mental blocks of taking that first step is the intimidation factor. Specifically designed for beginners, Yoga 101 is an intro to yoga in a warm, safe environment where the only requirement is that you have no idea what’s going on. This workshop is about foundation, demonstration, questions and immediate feedback.
After completing Yoga 101, you’ll have all the tools to throw a mat down in any of our basics classes (try out the new student special: $30 for 30 days!).
Yoga 101 covers the intro to yoga: fundamentals of the yoga philosophy, how to breathe, and linking that breathing to each pose. You will learn, step-by-step, the foundational postures including modifications or adjustments to fit your needs and abilities.
Please wear exercise clothing that allows for comfortable movement, avoid eating at least one hour prior to class, and arrive 15 minutes early with a water, towel and yoga mat.
