Combining Asanas to cultivate awareness, relaxation, and concentration, and the small controlled movements of a Barre workout, with a dash of Bhakti Yoga, this class will challenge you to take your mind to the muscle, while working on your posture, balance, flexibility, and strength. Where your attention goes your energy flows and you will need every ounce during this 75 minute class!
Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of Devotion. Devotion is universal--to God, a higher power, the Source Energy, or to one’s self. Throughout the class you will be led toward the cultivation of love and tolerance by acknowledging the Divine within yourself. Once we are able to surrender to the power within, we can let it spread, not only to our shaking muscles, but into the world around us.
Maria is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at Kyle House Fitness, and a Health Coach trained through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She received her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Athens, Ohio at Inhale Yoga Studio in 2010, and has 3 years experience as a Barre instructor.
