Hot 26

Performed under hot and humid conditions, Hot 26 prescribed asanas uses heat to systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to each organ and muscle fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as nature intended. Proper weight, flexibility, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well being will automatically follow.  Experience with heated classes encouraged.

Power

Inspired by Ashtanga & Vinyasa, this practice supports elevation of personal vitality & physical ability to create accelerated results in your overall body strength and confidence. Power is a potent physical and meditation practice to activate self inquiry & transformation through longer holds of asanas and mindful movement.  This class is more personalized by teachers, for they will design their own sequence of postures.  Suitable for all levels.

Restorative

Restorative yoga is a calming & healing form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props (blocks, bolsters, straps, etc.) makes it an ideal environment to heal injuries and balance hectic and stressful modern lifestyles.  Gentle music may be played, and the practice may be combined with guided meditation.  No experience required.  Suitable for all levels.

Vigorous Vinyasa

(Ayurvedic)

We're constantly in flux throughout the day: our energy level and our mood, for example, are different first thing in the morning than they are at noon.  Ayurvedic Yoga then, is a personalized, intuitive approach to creating balance with the time of day & season in which we practice.  Kapha balancing (morning) starts slow and builds to a vigorous vinyasa to create space, stimulation, warmth, and buoyancy.  Pitta balancing (mid-day) maintains steady energy from start to finish to cultivate joy, security and a cooling nature.   Vata balancing (evening) begins vigorously and ends slow, smooth and calm to send you home relaxed, grounded, and stress free.  Each session supports mindful pranayam as students learn to synchronize breath to movement. Some experience encouraged and variations available for all levels.

Warm Vinyasa

Clear instruction inviting students to stay connected to the breath in a warm setting at a slower pace.  Each session offers creative sequences to allow for longer holding postures, self-study and awareness of how one’s own body moves and responds.  Students will be encouraged to explore, open and strengthen into postures the body feels is appropriate & available.  No experience required.  Suitable for all levels; modifications available.

Yoga Nidra

Considered yogic sleep, Nidra is a guided state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.  Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. This practice of yoga relaxation has been found to reduce tension and anxiety.  Yoga Nidra can serve as a pathway to freedom without creating bodily stress.  Suitable for all levels.  No experience required.  Suitable for all levels.

Community Class

Each quarter we select a different charity to give all the money raised from our Community Class. Our teachers give their time to lead you through this 60-minute vinyasa flow yoga class. Suggested cash donation for this class is $8+.

Yin

Yin Yoga is a quiet and simple practice, but not necessarily an easy practice. Yin yoga works deeply into our body. It targets our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body — rather than the muscles.
